The Kids Bank HQ was formed in 2021 by our two founders Kelly and Clare. Both have worked within the Charity and Public Sector before and know first hand the effects of poverty can have on families.

With the after-effects of the Covid-19 pandemic lingering, it was clear that there was a desperate need for support for struggling families living locally.

​

Our sister site, The Baby Bank HQ (A Community Interest Company) was formed in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic. The demand for our services become huge, and it was apparent that more needed to be done.

​

The Kids Bank HQ has been set up as  CIO (A Charitable incorporated organisation) and our registered Charity number is 1198462.  By running as a CIO means that we have more flexibility in finding bases for us to run our Charity from, and overall makes it much easier for us to be able to continue to help those in need.

​

We have huge support from the local community when it comes to receiving donations. We are receiving thousands of donations on a weekly basis. These pre-loved children's items are then passed on to our referred families in need. 

​

Due to the fantastic response, we have from the Community we are able to provide our families with everything they could need for their children aged 0-12 years. We have a huge stock of clothing, nappies, wipes, milk, toys, books, buggies, cots, hygiene items, and sanitary products. If we don't have it, we try our very best to source it, although sometimes it is not possible. Therefore, we are unable to guarantee all requests but know we will try our hardest.

In order for us to be able to ensure our support reaches the right people, we work on a referral basis only. This ensures all of the families we support, really need it. It also prevents any safeguarding issues.

​

We receive referrals daily from our partners Thurrock Council, The NHS, Food banks, Hestia, refuge UK, Project 17 and local schools.
